专家介绍：Seán Hand is Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Europe) at the University of Warwick, where he is the Academic Lead for the EU-funded EUTOPIA European university alliance. His research examines reflexive or philosophical writings in French, and he has written, edited or translated nine books. He holds degrees from the University of Oxford (B.A., M.A., D. Phil.) and Warwick (MBA, D.Litt.). He is a Chevalier des Palmes Académiques, a member of the Academia Europ?a, and an Honorary Professorial Fellow and International Advisory Board member of Zhejiang University. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He has assessed for the Irish Research Council, the Israel Science Foundation, the South African National Research Foundation, and the French National Higher Education authority HCéRES. He is a Scientific Advisory Board member at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, sits on several international advisory boards, and as acted as a European Commission Vice-Chair.

讲座题要：In his lecture, Professor Hand will discuss the importance of ethical literary criticism in contemporary world literature studies, especially in understanding and responding to global cultural challenges. He will introduce two significant interdisciplinary research themes: Anthropocene studies and AI research, and explore ways to engage in in-depth research and cooperation to further develop and apply ethical literary criticism globally, contributing to solving the complex challenges faced by contemporary society.
