The 6th International Symposium on Ethical Literary Criticism Successfully Held in Estonia

    Recent years witnessed an explosive interest in ethical literary criticism in international academia, which is not only evidenced in volumes of works on this issue but also is clearly shown in an increasing number of Western participants in conventions of International Association for Ethical Literary Criticism. Against this backdrop, the 6th International Symposium on Ethical Literary Criticism highlights the salient features of transnational turn and cross-cultural exchanges. It attempts to re-read literary canon from an ethical perspective, to reveal ethical nature of world literature, and to explore the ethical issues concerning “Center”—“Periphery”. In doing so, the conference not only broadens the scope of the analysis of ethical literary criticism but also adds much weight to its theoretical depth and complexity.
