Digital Software in Diagnosis and Treatment of Multiple Impacted Supernumerary Teeth

数字化软件在多发性埋伏多生牙诊疗中的应用

Abstract: Objective: To explore the application of CBCT software and third-party digital software in the diagnosis and treatment of multiple impacted supernumerary teeth. Methods: Based on the DICOM data of 10 patients, CBCT software and the third-party software Mimics20.0 (Materialise, Belgium, 2017) were used accurately to segment, reconstruct, and measure the supernumerary teeth, determine the location and number of the ambushed supernumerary teeth, guide the extraction of the supernumerary teeth at the virtual model. Results: CBCT software was easy to operate with no charge, which could help us to diagnose quickly for simple supernumerary teeth. The third-party software was complex and expensive. However, the third-party digital software could improve the accuracy of diagnosis of multiple impacted supernumerary teeth. The application of a preoperative simulation of three-dimensional reeconstructions in surgery could prevent mistaken extraction, protect important anatomical structures, and shorten the operation time length. Conclusion: Two different methods have their own advantages and disadvantages, which are available for different cases.

摘要: 目的:探讨CBCT自带软件与第三方数字化软件在诊断与治疗多发性埋伏多生牙中的应用。方法:基于10例患者的DICOM数据,应用CBCT自带软件及第三方软件Mimics20.0(Materialise, Belgium, 2017)分别对多生牙进行精准图像分割、重建及测量分析,确定埋伏多生牙的位置和数量,虚拟建模后指导拔除多生牙。结果:CBCT自带软件操作简单,无需费用,对于简单多生牙,诊断快速。第三方数字化软件操作复杂,费用昂贵;但第三方数字化软件能提高多发性埋伏多生牙诊断的精确性,将术前模拟三维信息应用到术中,可防止误拔、误伤,保护周围重要解剖结构,缩短手术时间。结论:两种不同方法具有各自的优缺点,对于不同的病例可有不同的选择。
