Marsupialization of Cystic Lesions in the Mandible Influences Width of Mouth Opening

Abstract

Abstract: Objective: To explore how the marsupialization of cystic lesions in the mandible influences the width of mouth opening. Methods: 73 patients managed by marsupialization from October 2015 to August 2016 were retrospectively reviewed. Width of mouth opening at 6 days before and after decompression were assessed and compared. Results: Before operation, the average value of the width of incisal opening was(39.58±5.91) mm. In the first day after operation, the average width of incisal opening was (22.71±5.13) mm. On the sixth day after surgery, 30.14% patients showed restriction of mouth opening in some degree. Two factors influenced postoperative width of mouth opening: preoperative width of mouth opening; marsupialization location in the mandible. Conclusion: Some patients will be limited mouth opening after marsupialization, especially the operation location is in retromolar region, where it is difficult to manufacture cyst plug.

摘要： 目的：探究下颌骨开窗减压术术后张口度及影响因素。方法：选取2015-10—2016-08在昆明医科大学附属口腔医院口腔颌面外科行开创减压术，且符合纳入标准的患者73例，统计患者术前及术后6 d每日张口度情况，分析其影响因素。结果：73例患者术前平均最大张口度为（39.58±5.91） mm；术后第1天张口度最小为（22.71±5.13） mm，术后6天张口受限占30.14%，中度张口受限占2.74%；在影响患者术后张口度的单因素分析中，术前张口度、开窗位置两个因素与患者术后张口度具有相关性。结论：开窗减压术后部分患者会出现张口受限，特别是开窗口位于磨牙后区的患者，张口受限发生率较高，给术后塞治器制作带来困难。
