modern trends in precision jaw surgery

Abstract

Abstract:

Precision medicine，based on individual medical treatment, is the tight combination of modern science, technology and traditional medicine，and which is to pursuit the maximized treatment beneficial result of patients. The comprehensive utilization of digital medical image, computer aided design and additive manufacturing is the effective way to realize precision surgery, especially on surgical treatment of hard tissue conditions. Because of the complex anatomic form and physiological function of maxillofacial bone, more attention should be paid on combination of modern science, technology and traditional surgical treatment at optimization of operation plan, individual surgical template, application and manufacture of individual bone prostheses, surgical navigation, and so which might actively push forward jaw surgery transform to precision jaw surgery.

摘要：

精准医学以个体化医疗为基础，将现代科技与传统医学紧密结合，追求患者疾病诊疗效益的最大化。数字化医学影像、计算机辅助设计与增材制造技术的综合应用是实现精准外科诊疗的有效途径与手段，尤其在人体硬组织外科手术治疗方面，优势更为明显。口腔颌面部骨骼形态结构与功能复杂，颌骨外科治疗更应该在手术方案、个体化手术导板制作、个体化植入体设计与应用、术中导航技术等多方面，充分将现代科技手段与传统诊疗技术相结合，积极向精准颌骨外科方向迈进。
